Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Toured up near squaw pt on ridge line. Snow down low was deep and difficult

trail breaking. Stomping on small roll overs we easily had breaks in the new snow.

Higher up the ridge, we found wind condensed snow and sensitive wind slabs .

playing it conservative we turned around and headed for the deeper snow lower in the trees.

we skied cautiously near roll overs and had new snow sloughs that stayed small and didn’t run far

touchy conditions today but optimistic the cold will settle the snow and bond well.
